Trouble went inside a mountain in Everest is Hollow and the story designers were reluctant to have him enter a cave again in Sign of the Rat. Halong Bay, though, is home to some fantastic caves. So it was logical to put The Source underground. You’ll understand why we couldn’t resist when you see photos of Halong Bay caves on this Vietnamese company’s website –

Vietnam is also home to the world’s largest cavern, determined by the type of laser tape measure that Dr. Cam hands RJ in the story. Recently discovered, this enormous grotto is flooded by underground rivers. This is similar to a lake surrounding The Source in Sign of the Rat.
